The importance of staging your home

We were recently invited out to an empty, refurbished property in Higham On The Hill, Nuneaton. The property had been updated to a superb standard and was effectively a brand new cottage. However something was missing! Buyers couldn't envisage their furniture there and were just seeing empty rooms. 

What is property staging? 
There are local staging companies who can come in and furnish your home, making the most of the space and sell the lifestyle dream to prospective buyers. We've learnt buyers really buy into lifestyle and want to envisage themselves living there. De personalising your home and adding some neutral pieces can really help. It is estimated that staging your home could increase the sale price by 5 to 10%. Not only can it increase the price achieved but it can also reduce the time taken to sell. 

Does my home need to be empty to be staged? 
No, your home doesn't need to be empty. Professional stagers can come and work with what you already have. They can add additional furnishings to compliment your existing furniture. 


Is staging your home an American thing?
Staging in America is very big, for years now they have recognised the importance in creating the best look for their home to attract the best buyers. 

How much does it cost to stage your home? 
Staging your home can cost anywhere between £500 and £5,000 depending on the company, how much furniture is needed and the length of time you need it for. We work very closely with a local property staging company who would be more than happy to provide a bespoke plan and quotation.
